SAP IDES

IDES is Internet Demonstration and Evaluation System

IDES systems are SAP-internal demo systems running in Walldorf. These systems contain the data of the IDES model company (in several clients) and are used to demonstrate and show the functionality of the various SAP solutions to potential customers and prospects.

IDES demo systems and IDES demo landscapes that are available for customers are copies of these internal demo systems. The IDES systems can support demos, self-study or functional evaluation/tests based on the preconfigured data/clients.

IDES must not be used in production! The IDES systems do not contain training data that are used in the SAP training courses.

漫长的import ABAP后，在start instance部分遭遇不测，错误如下：

CJS-30149 ABAP processes of instance SC1/DVEBMGS00 ABAP: MSNOTRUNNING did not start after 10:00 minutes

这个问题困扰了两天左右时间，在google找线索也找了很长时间。期间有很多网址上别人的经验是loop ip问题，结果分析后认为不是我要的菜。

 

在/usr/sap/SC1/DVEBMGS00/work目录里的dev_disp文件里找到下面的线索：

*** ERROR => <EsMap> ES_METHOD_INSTANCE_SLOTS 32 exceeded [esxxmap.c 516]

*** Error 14 while initializing OS dependent part.

 

根据这段错误信息在google上狂搜，找到一个老外也是一模一样的问题。解决办法是添加参数es/implementation = std

 

 

本来就是第一次装SAP的IDES，对于增加参数更是没任何概念。于是又google了SAP如何修改参数，最终在/sapmnt/SC1/profile目录下的两个文件

SC1_DVEBMGS00_ides

START_DVEBMGS00_ides

里增加了es/implementation = std这一参数。

原因就不说了，google/SAP notes上有解释。

修改完后，使用stopsap/startsap重新启动sap各类进程。

解决了前面一个问题，后面更多的error出现了。依旧沿用前面的探究办法，找到import_monitor.log里面的报错信息，以定位具体的作业日志（job log）。

在同目录下具体的作业日志里发现，这些报错的作业很多都是create index的动作，其报错的原因是：

Exceed limited session。

 

切换到ora[sid]用户去检查数据库的参数，发现：

(vi /oracle/SC1/102_64/dbs/initSC1.ora)

processes = 80

sessions = 96

 

这几个值在我另外一套虚拟化环境里也是如此，但是虚拟化环境里已经安装成功了。为什么session个数不够呢？

 

再仔细看创建索引的语句，发现最后拖了parallel的关键字–并行创建索引。

这台主机共有24个core，如果一个作业缺省发起并行任务，会不会自动生成24个session？

 

解决办法肯定是加大初始化参数，于是把上述参数改为：

processes = 800

sessions = 960

 

修改位置是该数据库的pfile（安装结束后，pfile会自动生成出新的spfile），修改完后重启数据库。

 

在安装界面里再点retry，问题解决，安装继续了！

SAP IDES的环境安装最慢的部分当属import ABAP了，需要往数据库里（我用的是Oracle 10.2.0.4）导入差不多200多G的数据。

整个过程只要配置得当，应该考验的只要耐性。

我的安装过程中出现了好几处不同的错误，先看看第一个：

此乃import ABAP任务里第一个导入的job，它的报错真是当头一棒。通过对这个问题的解决，基本搞清了解决import ABAP问题的解决思路，即：

找日志->发现线索->想办法->执行->验证。

 

在ides:/tmp/sapinst_instdir/ERP/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS目录下，找到import_monitor.log，查看里面详细的报错信息。

ERROR: 2011-12-15 18:40:52 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask run

Loading of ‘REPOSRC’ import package is interrupted with R3load error.

For mode details see ‘REPOSRC.log’ file.

Standard error output:

sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called.

sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

 

原来在使用R3load命令执行REPOSRC的导入作业失败了，那为什么失败呢？检查’REPOSRC.log’ 里面的具体报错信息。

又发现了重要线索，即日志提示安装的几个包出现了不一致的情况。

 

跟踪错误信息到这里，基本上可以考虑解决办法了。猜测不会是因为安装介质的某些文件受到损坏，导致‘is not from the same export ’这样的报错。

 

于是再次拷贝/51034985_2目录里所有文件，然后回到安装界面再次retry，报错通过。

问题解决了！

该环境能够支持一对多（如A同时复制到B/C），也可以支持链式复制（如A复制到B，B复制到C）。操作也很方便，在Compellent的Enterprise manager界面里直接6次鼠标点击即可完成。

这是物理拓扑图，基于resource的限制，我们把Oracle database部署在了vSphere里面，但是所有的database file均通过RDM方式放在Compellent映射上来的Volume上。

 

我们模拟在source database上强压100万条insert操作，并且每分钟对源Compellent触发快照动作，在insert到差不多一般时，模拟意外宕机，把源database server进行关电操作。这时候已经commit的数据操作随着底层volume的复制被传递到两个目标端。

分别在两个目标端把同时复制过来的snapshot重新生成新的volume，并在目的端的database server上mount，最后启动database instance以检查相关表中insert了多少条数据。

测试结果是非常有趣的。如果在source database里insert了50万条记录，两个目的端分别复制过来多少条呢？请来solution center一探究竟。
